Since then, it's not like we've been in football season...so I'm not sure you can say he's backed off. However, I will definitely admit he's going over-the-top the past week and I'm loving it.

So far as my post thing was concerned, I was referring to the press conferences, Mr. dallaschiefsfan. I watch all of them ... or try to. Sometimes I actually view them a couple of times looking for "tells". Anyhow, time after time, a question will be asked in the HC pressers that fosters discomfort on the part of the coach and we receive either a vague, pap, pissy, or indifferent response. Either way, when it's an obvious dodge, there is almost never, ever a follow up question that digs into the point and forces the coach to either say something substantial or look like a fool.
The only time in the last few years I've seen that happen was one guy (I don't know who the questioner was) who used to pepper Haley about benching DJ at every opportunity. He wouldn't let it go and eventually forced Haley to offer additional detail about the situation that he was initially reluctant to provide.
In other markets (like the ones I mentioned), the press understands the game and stands eyeball to eyeball with the franchise. Not so much in KC.
