The AMA's (Ask Me Anything) are probably my favorite. Really interesting stuff, from celebrities, down to people who are or have been homeless, just answering questions and telling their stories.
There was one on there the other day from someone who's been teaching english in South Korea for a few years, which is something my brother in law is considering.

TIL is probably my favorite default.
iama is cool, but personally, I'm not a huge fan of reddit's comment's system, so I don't really enjoy the AMA's that much.
I usually don't go on TIL for a month and then I'll hit Top > Month, and enjoy myself for the next 4 hours.
