I was at the game, and it was pretty clear they were cheering for Cassel to be injured. Of course, Cassel being injured and Quinn entering are connected. There was very loud ovation when Cassel was down on the ground injured and then a second loud ovation when Quinn was coming in.
One of the first posts in this thread wishes for permanent brain damage. I think it's pretty clear what I mean by not surprising if you read posts on this board.
Also, it isn't surprising that fans are acting like this given the amount of frustration. It doesn't make it any classier, but it is what it is.
