I believe if Pioli were retained they would change QB. But they passed on QBs for several successive off seasons when we could have selected one, in favor of many other underwhelming draft picks. and we will leave ourselves in a position where after wasting four years on Cassel we will have another coin flip for the next 2-3-4 years. Even if we get a good one, it'll be two or more years until he matures.
Missing on a QB has probably set this team back five years. That should be enough to sink even a mediocre GM with a 10 win season.
