I posted it in the game thread as it happened, but a good friend of mine was sitting a few rows back from MC when he was on the phone and shortly after he got off the phone, he was clearly disappointed and disturbed.
There is no conspiracy theory involved because I posted that well before he got "hurt".
Its VERY odd that shortly after that call, he gets a concussion on a play that he didn't seem to take that hard of a hit.
That phone call was Pioli telling Matt "I'm sorry, Matt....I held out as long as I could, but you know what I'm about to say. I'm not gonna pull you and I'm not gonna let them pull you. The next time you get hit, you stay down. I'll take care of the rest. I'm sorry it didn't work out. I really am. You'll always be my starting quarterback."
