Personally, I think this is Crennel's way of throwing the middle finger to Pioli. We ran the ball 34 times and threw it 6 in the first half against the Ravens... and we were still in the game. Coulda/woulda/shoulda won the game. And now Crennel is covering his ass by getting it out there that he had to gameplan around his QB. That is what a good coaching staff does.
Haley threw his middle finger up at Pioli in the form of Palko... and won a game at Chicago. Showed Pioli you could win a game with any stiff at QB... not just Cassel. The key is "a game".
That is what Cassel can do for you. Win "a game". Once in a while. So can anyone.
