Someday when it bugs me enough I'll look into what EXACTLY is going on... but if you reset your router(renew IP), flush your local dns, and renew ip locally... it should clear it. Total pain in the ass.
Could it be a proxy issue?
Chrome uses the system Internet settings used by IE.
Firefox has its own proxy settings.
That would explain why it has problems in Chrome/IE but not Firefox.
