James, I understand your disappointment with whatever number of Chiefs fans cheered when Cassel went down with a concussion. It’s difficult to differentiate between those cheering for the appearance of Quinn and those cheering for the departure of Cassel. We’re going into Tampa Bay tomorrow to face a team that only lost its few losses by a very few number of points. They were in each game they played. They are not to be overlooked. I, too, have been a Matt Cassel supporter since he’s been here – but then again, I dress for the game. I hang a flag out front every Sunday, and have been a loyal fan of the Chiefs since they started playing in Kansas City, even though I lived in southern New Jersey. If Quinn shows up well tomorrow, it’ll be the first time in his non-illustrious career that he has ever shown up well anywhere since he left Notre Dame. If, as you say, virtually any team can beat the Tampa Bay Bucs, then Quinn’s win will have little bearing on the competition for QB at Chiefs’ headquarters. If our defense shows up the way it did against Baltimore, we might be able to beat any team on any given Sunday. So, James, I appreciate your candor. I appreciate your writing style. And I appreciate knowing another dyed-in-the-wool Chiefs fan. Continue your writing and continue your support of a 50-year-old, wonderful football team.
