Carl was fired (or at least, the news broke) on December 15.
This was the day after the Chiefs had blown a 21-10 lead at home against San Diego. There were two games remaining on the schedule at that point.
Of course, that horrendous loss which left us 2-12 may have been the casus belli, but Clark didn't just do it on a whim.
Sounds like Clark may be sharpening the axe.
