I wasn't in the pokey for long. The warrant was issued because I ignored a fine for having an open beer in a public park. I spent three or four hours trying to appear as though I might be an accused murderer.
The neighbor was a citizen and I was a walking chemistry experiment. We'd just never had the opportunity to get to know each other.
