I think you mean they haven't gone far enough to the left for you. Anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, and anti-pot legalization, for example, are traditional views not new extreme right wing ideas. It's not social conservatives who have changed, it's the center of gravity of the entire population that has moved to the left over time.
