The GOP should be flat out embarassed. If EVER there was an election that was just sitting there for the taking (minus Reagan v Carter), this was it. Romney was a HORRIBLE candidate, and running on a platform of "vote for me because I'm not him" isn't real bright, obviously.
There is truth to that. Romney needed some specifics in his budget plan and Todd Akins and his ilk pushed birth control and abortion from an afterthought to the forefront in the minds of many many female voters that might have otherwise been in the Republican's corner .
