I think you should just draft the best player available no matter what. You don't think the Rams knew that RG3 was a better player than Bradford? They were stuck with Bradford and were forced to trade the pick. Let other teams make the mistake and then trade up when there is a legit prospect.
And the best player available in April generally isn't the same in September unless your name is Andrew Luck.
