It's funny, I was only eleven at the time, but I became hooked on a game called "presidential forever" on one my middle school's computer. That, in combination with my parents' political "activism," (my dad was running for school board, lol.) actually made me quite passionate about politics over my sixth grade year. I was huge for Kerry, and was probably one of the three "democrats" in my central Kansas middle school.
This passion led me to pursue debate in high school, and has helped shape the political beliefs I hold today.
The good news is that there's still plenty of time for you to grow out of it.
