I think the best way to envision this is that robots are eventually going to give humans a life of leisure where they don't have to work. We're starting with manufacturing workers with welfare and unemployment payments, and eventually we'll work our way up to market research, at which point I retire. At some point everyone is replaced, and robots do everything while we play video games and watch pornography. That is, unless acting in a porn movie is work and then we'll lose interest because who wants to watch two robots having sex.
