We're all on the same page in saying that Matt Cassel does not have adequate arm strength for an NFL starting quarterback, correct? Can I get you to admit this out loud before clicking on the link below?
Barkley does
not have a plus arm. It's better than Cassel's, but not by a lot. His arm, just like Cassel's, is a product of being able to maintain sound mechanics to drive a ball downfield.
Quarterbacks with truly strong arms can still get muscle on the ball without their feet under them. Smith is that kind of quarterback. Barkley isn't.
Those gifs are stupid. You and the rest of the Barkley backers can keep posting them to tout Barkley's arm strength, but they just don't mean anything. Every QB in the NFL can get a ball 55-60 yards when they have the ability to put their feet under them and launch their body into it like Barkley had in both of those throws.
