I really think people have a huge problem with this because they don't want to admit they could possibly do the same thing if caught in the wrong circumstances. It scares them so much they just categorize a person who does this as an evil beast rather than a flawed human in a flawed moment.
Basically what I meant. It can be looked at as who is this person and what have they done with my friend?


That is an entirely possible hypothesis. Some people can't handle the truth that they have flaws, let alone a dark side.
