how about the fact we've had four mass shootings this year, and six in the 50 before that? Sure epidemic as we know doesn't fit here, but if I got one DUI every ten years ago before, and suddenly got four in one year, I'd wonder what's going on, and maybe think there was a problem.
Just a statistical FYI...there have been WAY more mass killings than have ever been reported because they happen to the wrong color of people.
Thousand+ people per year used to be murdered in places like NYC, Chicago, Oakland, etc. Now those rates have dropped off the cliff. But the mass media doesn't tend to report much of it because it happens to african americas. Our news is pretty racist, yet another thing we don't tend to like to report.
Murder rates this year in Chicago are reaching epidemic proportions. Frankly the rationale is likely the reason for more reported shootings this year. The economy is so bad that people have lost hope and honestly I'm not sure it's going to get better.
