I'd say stop lumping "family" into one big category. My little brothers wife doesn't like that I couldn't give a rats ass about Christmas Cards that give a run down of the years events but we manage to get along. My older brother is a military guy who has to eat lunch at 2pm every day that drives me crazy. I literally can't stand him. If we were any more different we would be a different species but his wife is cool as shit.
Accept it and choose your company. It's not like its something you have to deal with every day .
