I get that people want to see cost-benefit. But are they people seriously questioning the value of having high speed rail? Seriously? It would be a huge boost to tourism and hugely convenient for businesses, not to mention a great way to reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
You can go KC to Chicagon in like 6 hours, two stops. No problem getting a ticket. Stops in Iowa and Galesburg Illinois. Great fun way to make the trip.
