Biggest complaint with the movie was how the Goblin King died. The guy just plops down in front of Gandalf, puts his hands on his hips, and says "what're you going to do now, wizard?" Gandalf, who's ****ing 5 times more powerful than he is, sticks a sword in his gut and the GK LITERALLY SAYS "well, that killed me" and FALLS OVER. WHAT THE HOLY HELL.

You don't become Goblin King by making moronic decisions like challenging people far more powerful than you to kill you without even attempting to defend yourself. What a supremely stupid moment.

I can understand it, maybe, in the sense that he simply has no idea what Wizards are made of so he's just like "there's no way this guy can be that lethal," but Gandalf literally got done slaughtering like 35 orcs in front of the guy's face.

Also stupid: the movie goes through pains trying to give Radagast more screentime, which I really enjoyed, but in the end he contributes pretty much nothing, defeating the purpose of his inflated screen time.

All in all, I enjoyed the film, but those two things ate at me.

yeah how the GK died was awkward since Gandalf kills him in the book when he first arrives and blinds/stuns them all with magic. Also the whole 'thorin cutting off azogs arm' thing was just rediculous and not even close to how it happened. Still a enjoyable movie nonetheless.
