Now add every federal judge in the entire system (they're underpaid - trust me - they'd make WAY more in the private sector), plus every relatively senior person in every department of government, senior bureaucrats, etc. and the list gets pretty long pretty quick.
And even if every one of 500,000 employees made $200,000 on average that would be $100 billion, or 2.7% of the federal budget. Frankly it's just a function if the massive size of the federal government.
1 in 5 federal workers. 20%. And that doesn't even account for how much on average government jobs pay more for the same thing than the private sector.
But go ahead, stick your head in the sand. Although I've noticed when it comes to things that upset you like military spending you're quick with comparison numbers to other countries.
