I'm not sure what people can't grasp about this - Clark is trying to negotiate a buyout - that takes time. If he wasn't, he would have already fired him.

In the meantime, he's been neutered of his power and depantsed publicly.

What exactly has Clark done differently than he explained on Monday.

The search process started immediately. HE will be picking the next HC.

He can do that with or without Pioli in the room, and still not go against his word.
