Marty put himself in those positions. Marty was known for an attacking defense right? Time after time, he played prevent defense in the waning minutes of a game only to lose. That's how The Drive happened.

Marty was known for the smashmouth running game, right? Marcus Allen had over 100 yards rushing at halftime of the 1995 home playoff game against the Colts and the Chiefs came out in the 2nd half throwing the ball all over the field. Steve Bono threw 2 (or was it 3) picks, and the Chiefs lost when Ray Finkle missed the kick.
