Without Whitlock that would have never happened. SOC would have been nothing more than a local movement involving some people with extra cash to hire a banner.
Whitlock did play a part, and probably made the largest donation, but I think it would have been successful anyway.
Marty and prcapone represented the movement professionally and didn't come off as drunk hot head fans. I think that was key to the success more than Whitlocks podcasts and $600.
