Obviously, you don't remember getting free tickets from clients to the Border War at the end of Ted Owens and seeing Allen Fieldhouse 1/4 empty for the Mizzou game. But I do. I was there. Agree to disagree.
KU did win it all in 1988 but only after one outstanding second half. By the next year, they were on probation, with a new coach, non-compettiive in League play (they finished 7th in the Big 8) and MU-OU fought for the title. That was 1989 remember. KU started the decade poorly and ended it poorly. Mizzou was good every year. Look it up if you don't believe me.
