They're filthy rich, have armed guards at all times, enjoy a life of luxury and pseudo fame, and have the American public gobbling up the conveyor belt of shit coming out of DC. Why would they want to **** that up? They've rigged the system to where they can hire their buddies, write their own paychecks, draft legislation that solidifies their continued political careers, and accept billions of dollars from corporate donors, who can even donate anonymously.
Why **** that up? Through history, governments have organized against their citizens to quell civil revolt or unrest. But that's not happening here. US citizens aren't marching against their government. Hell the worst that's happening is whiny Facebook petitions. Citizens are still more than happy to bend over and take the government dick and whine about it on message boards.
Why would the government create civil unrest and revolution when there currently is none? There's little logical advantage to doing so. They're controlling the populace just fine without it. Why would they want to make it more difficult for themselves?
Very easy, it won't last forever. The writing is on the wall if you can see it, it's more like an insurance policy for them.
