Does it make you proud that you're pretty much the only person on here that has to logon and instantly start ripping on people? Everything was pretty civil until you showed up.
Did your mower throw a rock or something?
I figured you'd be too lazy to actually see what a false choice fallacy was so....
A false dilemma (also called false dichotomy, the either-or fallacy, fallacy of false choice, black-and/or-white thinking, or the fallacy of exhaustive hypotheses) is a type of informal fallacy that involves a situation in which only two alternatives are considered, when in fact there is at least one additional option. The options may be a position that is between the two extremes (such as when there are shades of grey) or may be a completely different alternative. The opposite of this fallacy is argument to moderation.
False dilemma can arise intentionally, when fallacy is used in an attempt to force a choice (such as, in some contexts, the assertion that "if you are not with us, you are against us"). But the fallacy can also arise simply by accidental omission of additional options rather than by deliberate deception.
And nice to see that you're already back to holier than thou frazzled. Do you really think you calling people sheep and lobbing pejoratives towards liberals and the positions you imagine they have is civil?
If so, you are just as crazy as BEP.
