It just says that when a gun is available, the odds are higher that it would be a gun that's used as opposed to pills or hanging. It says nothing to the safety of the actual weapon. Only that when a suicidal person has choices available, the odds are higher they will choose the most effective method available. Shocker. And why are they even including suicide anyway?

They include the potential for intimidation to support their results. So they're essentially saying it's easier to scare someone when you have a gun, therefore guns are bad and makes a home less safe. Which conveniently, makes any home with a gun a "Greater risk".

They even admit to these problems in the actual study:
