The best thing I can say about Illinois is that while Chicago comprises a large percentage of the state's population, it's still small enough that the liberal mouthbreathers don't have free reign to piss all over our rights as they do in New York. There are as many or more people living in Chicago's suburbs as there are in Chicago, and mostly the suburbs are conservative. And of course the downstate area is firmly conservative.
Oh, and **** New York. The handful of sane people who live there have my sympathy, but as for the rest, the deserve exactly what they're getting.
