Given the validity of the second amendment, gun legislation should also encourage the right people to be armed. Such as women who are at risk of being victims of violent crimes.
I have never said women can't or shouldn't own a gun.
My point in this thread was that in the very specific case of rape\sexual assault the best defense is knowing self-defense(hand-to-hand).
