These aren't the same thing. Trust me, I'm not a Reid cheerleader, so I'm not creating a double standard here. Reid hired a very experienced offensive guy in Childress who will undoubtedly help Reid in coordinating the offense and preparing the game plans. Arians is going to be playing a full time role as offensive coordinator, while being a head coach too -- the OC he hired is probably purely following Arians' marching orders.

Arians is about to repeat the same dumb mistake Haley made in 2009, when he underestimated the massive amount of work he will have to do on the administrative and leadership side of being a head coach. Haley looked unbelievably stressed his first year. Reid has done this for many years. He has shown he can do this, and my guess is, that as Pederson becomes more experienced Reid will let Pederson have more control over the offense.
