My son played football for years. He had some talent but didn't have the passion to be in the weight room hours and hours and practice 20 hours a week. He felt that just because he could probably play Div 1 football doesn;t mean he has to play. He still doesn't know what he wants to do in life but its going to be something with his brain, not his brawn.
I was dissapointed but that was just being selfish. and now I realize how much better my son's life will be without the threat of CTE. He won't have to have knee replacements, wake up in pain or forget how to get home from the grocery store when he's 50.
Theres a threat of brain damage anytime he drives or goes out and does something. You keep him locked inside?
