I specifically brought up life insurance and he didn't respond to it. But that is generally between the you and the insurance company. It's a big liability issue for employers to actually know the details of your health. That's why health insurance claims are usually (or should be) handled entirely by an outside company rather than within the employer. If they later have to let you go for some reason, it sets them up for being sued under the Disability Act, among other things.
