And no, i dont think a full slate of benefits is too much to ask for these guys... the training alone that they go through is unbelieveably hard on their bodies, let alone the real missions they do.
If congress can get a raise every year, the money is there to take care of these guys who volunteered for the hairiest shit imaginable.
Be a fiscal conservative at someone elses expense, dont cheat our elite hero's out of something to ease their life as they transition back to the civilian world.
Are we having trouble recruiting people into these elite roles at the current benefit level? Let's think with our heads.
If we use the "if congress can get a raise every year" argument, there's very little additional spending that can't be justified.
