I also don't understand how people are so scandalized at the satirical use of someone's death on a website where there are daily threads lampooning the untimely end of any number of people. Some are criminals or whatever, but many have families that love them, etc. Why is someone who at one time worked for the military held above the same gallows humor?

I agree that it's kind of disingenuous. Kyle obvious wasn't at the ready and therefore not "...with a gun." However, what are we supposed to do, walk around with a gun pointed at everyone just in case? Of course people take the opportunity to murder when others aren't ready. People don't duel anymore. So in the end, it's saying if we can't stop people from getting a jump on others, how do we curb this?
