Look, I'm all in favor of taking a QB at #1 if the powers that be think that is our best option. In fact, I really hope it happens. I just think that the "QB or bust" mentality is a good way to build a shitty football team.

Two things:
First, how much more "set back" can this organization possible get? Something like 29 wins in the last SIX YEARS.
Second, even if you don't agree with the above, you realize that your thinking shouldn't be limited to just the QB position, right?
It's not good to miss with an early pick. But I'd much rather miss taking a chance on a franchise-changer than to play it safe (Hi, Tyson Jackson) and miss anyway.
