He preached and taught from the Bible using his personal understanding of (what he considered) the Word of God. He was very much a "fire and brimstone" preacher and yet was about as humble a man as you would ever meet. It was his way to teach that from our understanding it could be assumed that an unsaved sinner would go to Hell, but that you and I could never actually know another man's heart, that judgement of a man's soul was for God and God alone.
God is clear about an unsaved sinner going to Hell and not something to assume. God said it. I am not judging who is or isn't going to Hell. When we all face the Judgement Throne it will be God.
God's grace provided salvation as a way to escape hell. God's given life the God given way. It is the only way to Heaven. Gods' grace saves fromt he peanlty of hell. God is clear that the only way is through Christ.
Those who don't accept Christ will not enter God's Kingdom
Hell is a place of physical pain and suffering with relational isolation and is a place of eternal punishment. It isn't a place where you would want your enemies to end up. Suffering, pain and horror will be real.
Hebrews 10:29...Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who trampled on the Son of God and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholdy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God's mercy to us.
My prayer is that none of you would go there and to accept Christ.
