Did Benedict, prior to being named Pope, have any knowledge about specific instances of child molestation in the church? I think it has been shown that he did. Did Benedict report said abuse to the proper authorities? No. To me, that is a heinous act on Benedict's part. I see no way around it.

No, your opinion doesn't upset me. Your apparent inability to understand my criticism and your crude expression of your opinion are troubling though.
I doubt that Benedict did anything that I would consider heinous, but I'm willing to admit that I don't know the whole story so my mind remains open.
