Well, he was rationalizing a bit yes, but he said some interesting things.
He's ok with a 4th but not with a 3rd, which echoes a lot of people here.
Said if Dorsey is as great as everybody says he is, a 3rd rounder is a starter, so that's a bad trade.
He said Alex Smith really isn't all that different than Matt Cassel, which many people don't want to hear. Here's the ultimate "play it safe" guy saying it.
He said he think the fans would be ok with it, but mostly because the guy isn't Cassel, not because the guy is a slam dunk.
