I actually thought during the game that it should have been a charge call. However, after watching that replay I'm not too sure. Looked like Niang may have still been shuffling his feet as well as falling backward before contact. Probably was a charge but I don't think it's quite that cut and dry.
And about the foul call on Niang when they were on the floor I would agree should have been a no call. That call actually screwed KU because Tharpe made the 3 pointer right after.
