I've never seen a QB class so universally panned. Most years, it's the exact opposite, as the media and media scouts (Mayock, Kiper, et al) overly hype college players and get QB needy fans into a frenzy.
This year, it's been completely opposite. The best available guy isn't exciting and looks like at best, a second rounder in any other year. The next best guy took a huge step backwards his senior season and can't even throw the football.
While a great player
might emerge someday, the identity of the player is a mystery. If you're that uncertain about a player's ability, it would be foolish to spend a first round choice on that player, let alone #1 overall.
