If sitting a player for a year is in the best interest of the player and team, then do it. I get that immediate returns are a factor to consider, but for a 2-14 team immediate returns should be of absolutely no consequence. Worrying about trying to perfect a dilapidated roster is like putting $2000 rims on a Gremlin.
A great shot is when you pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try.
