If sitting a player for a year is in the best interest of the player and team, then do it. I get that immediate returns are a factor to consider, but for a 2-14 team immediate returns should be of absolutely no consequence. Worrying about trying to perfect a dilapidated roster is like putting $2000 rims on a Gremlin.
That would never fly with the fan base, media and most likely, the Hunts.

I can't believe that people actually believe that a move like that, in 2013, wouldn't be detrimental to the player and the team.
