Cool. I was skeptical of this idea at first, but as I've thought about it more, I really like it. It'll be sad to see Detroit leave the West, but then it'll be fun for the Avs to play the Blues, Preds, and Stars more often. I've never much cared for the western Canadian teams.
I also like that the playoff format emphasizes success in your division more. I always hated that there were more wildcards in the old format than outright winners.
