Donte Stallworth in hospital after hot-air balloon accident
Free agent wide receiver suffered burns after balloon hit power lines.
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Donte Stallworth is in a South Florida hospital Saturday after a hot-air balloon he was riding in with his girlfriend hit power lines
, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.com.
Stallworth was burned in the accident, but ESPNís Adam Schefter reports that the injuries arenít serious enough to jeopardize the ten-year veteranís career.
The accident occurred around 10:00am eastern time and involved a third passenger who was reportedly not injured.
After spending the first four seasons of his career with the New Orleans Saints, the 32-year-old Stallworth has bounced around the league, playing with Philadelphia, Cleveland, Baltimore, Washington and Philadelphia. He is currently a free agent.
