I won't fault coffey for his statement. He believed strongly in something so he made a tongue in cheek comment about 'leaving the board forever' even though he wasn't making a bet with anyone in particular...
I did the same thing the Priest Holmes comeback year...
if you aren't betting with someone and make a "I'll bet you a MILLION dollars" bet...it's not a real ****ing bet. See (edit)
