I think the Thunder were close, but now they don't have that third wheel in Harden. Every great team has had some kind of challenge, even within their own conference. The Lakers most recent dynasty with Shaq/Kobe had to overcome a really good Kings team. The Bulls had the Pistons/Knicks/Pacers in their conference. And even the year they won 72 there was also the Magic with Shaq in his prime. The Celtics had the Sixers and Pistons.
There literally might not be anyone out there to even challenge this team. The Thunder or Spurs is probably the best shot. But the Spurs have to get there... they're the only team that might not be scared to play these guys.
