The Creationists that take the creation story literally and assume they were the first humans miss the part of the story you refer to: where the Bible clearly states Cain goes out "for fear of" the peoples of the Earth who he feels will try to kill him.
No, that is not correct. The Bible absolutely says that Adam was the first man, created from dirt, and Eve from him. There was nothing before that. And even if it were, the Bible clearly says that only the children of Adam and Eve would be saved and enter heaven. You're welcome to believe what you choose, but that is not how it's depicted in any Bible versions, and goes against many teachings. If you believe in the literal account of the Bible, you have to assume that Cain married his sister and just ignore the whole genetic deformity business. I've heard some say that it was OK, because at that time humans were genetically pure, whatever that is supposed to mean, and it would have been OK for brothers and sisters to do the no pants dance.
