I ask from a legal, and not a moral or religious, stand point.
The arguments against bigamy and polygamy are stronger than those against same-sex marriage (which are laughably weak), but not as strong as against incest/pedophilia which are pretty much iron-clad.
Basically, for banning the legal recognition of polygamy the arguments would probably rely on evidence from fundamental LDS cults and how the women basically become meek, brainwashed sex slaves.
